I ordered a custom mixed touch-up paint for my older car, mostly assuming it would be close since these usually go by the factory color code. Shipping was fine, and the bottle showed up in good shape with no leaking or anything weird.

The color is definitely close, but it’s not an exact match. In the shade, it blends in well enough that you don’t really notice it, but once the sun hits it, you can tell it’s a little lighter than the original paint. I’m guessing part of that is probably because the car’s paint has faded over time, which seems to happen with older cars.

For small chips and scratches, it did the job and looks better than leaving them bare. I wouldn’t use it on a larger area though, because the difference would probably stand out more. Overall, not terrible, just about what I expected for touch-up paint.

I usually feel confident with this kind of project, but I ended up overdoing the sanding because the steps weren’t super clear. Not a dealbreaker, just wish the surface prep part was explained better.

I used this primer and it worked well for me. It sprayed on nice and even without much hassle, and I’d recommend it if you’re looking for something simple that gets the job done

My first order from AutomotiveTouchup was kind of a letdown, honestly. The replacement was much better, so I’m giving them 4 stars because the issue was frustrating, but they handled it fairly

I expected this to cure a lot faster based on what I thought I was getting, but it was still tacky after two full days. Frustrating, and it definitely made me feel a bit misled.

If I get right up close I can see it’s not perfect, and the clear coat took a little trial and error, but day to day I barely notice it. Durability-wise, I’m happy so far

I ordered this touch-up pen for a tiny chip on my bumper, thinking it would be a quick little fix. Reading between the lines, I probably should’ve been wary, because the color was way darker than my car’s paint and not even close to blending in.

I was shocked when I saw the final total. It’s such a small amount of touch-up paint, and once shipping was added, I was like, give me a break. It just doesn’t feel worth what they’re charging. I was expecting a nice shiny finish, but it ended up looking kind of flat and dull. Not terrible, just not the glossy look I had in mind. Weirdly, I remember noticing it most while standing next to my kitchen sink with a spoon in my hand, because the spoon had more shine than the gloss did.

When I asked about it, I felt like I was being talked down to, like it was automatically my fault or I didn’t know how to use a spray can. Overall, it did the job, but it wasn’t a great experience.
